Neat game! Some game I have played add a lot of attack abilities, but it often is to much and I just end up using one or two. This did the perfect amount and I found situations for both gun and tongue. Again, Neat game! Well done!
The movement is not as fluid as I'd like it to be and the boss animation needs more frames imo. However, it's fun to pick up and play. It has a variety of options and enemies to explore.
It saves on web for me 🤔 I think the web version's save file is stored in the browser cookies, so if you switch between computers or have certain browser cookie settings that might cause the save to not work.
This is simple and great with such a fun Kirby + Mario + Shooty boots! keep up the good work would love to see a larger project in the future with a fun retro bite sized fun level action and platformer.
Just played it. I really loved it! Sure there are things that I hope will be ironed out but as a demo it was pretty polished. One issue I ran into was on level 2 when activating the first save point. I didn't yet have enough coins to save the checkpoint but he offered me $100 coins I think (forgot exactly what he said) for one of my lives or hearts (forgot that too lol). Anyway after that when it played the saving animation and music, the dog cowboy was still there but the frog went completely invisible. I was still controling him but I couldn't see him. He re-appeard after I got hit by an enemy.
Downloaded this about a week a go and just got around to playing it this morning. Really like what is there so far. Keep going! I'd like to see a difficult setting for the game and maybe longer levels. The camp fire guy being towards the end of each level seems strange, maybe this should be the halfway point. Also maybe have his cost tiered. $5 for checkpoint only, $5 for health, $5 for ammo and then maybe something like $12 for all three? IDK, just a thought.
that was really good, the level design it's great and the art style is stunning, but the animations could be more alive in some areas, would deinitely play more
I think the boss battle could be improved by varying the boss pattern more, maybe the rock pops up in different places or the boss stops at more than just the two edges.
Fun lil' game! would be cool if i made an actual cart out of this, but i dont have the know how. Two little glitches i found. If you swallow and enemy and die to it at the same time, you can move during the death animation. And if you sit by the fire and start spamming buttons, you get up early and cant jump for a while. Cool game tho!
This is got the makings of a great game! So much polish for a demo. Amazing. One note, I managed to get a "triple death" when I hit an enemy while in the path of a jumping mole. I suggest pausing the action with a GBVM UI command (similar to bringing up dialogue) or disabling collision on the player when they die.
This really is very good, the mechanics work super well and I love the little touches like the tongue picking up coins as well and being able to boost out of the boot.
The shooting the posters level select is great and the tactical considerations of when to use your gun or not give a nice depth. Also a frog with a massive gun is just pretty funny.
I love it. Nice animations, sprite work and background. Music and sounds very good too! One bit of constructive feedback, you can use a gun or do a “Kirby”. To make it less like Kirby why not focus on the game loop being the gun and ammo acquisition? Or give more of a penalty when the mouth is full like not being able to jump as high/far?
Anyway, it’s a fun game and I would love to see it a full version!

Very nice! Only bit of criticism i can give is that tapping the jump button makes you go to high to the jump limit imo.

Whoops I have an idea as to what might cause that bug. Thanks for the heads up! I’ll have a fix for it soon.
